Beauty Review: Lavender & Acacia Relaxing Foaming Bath

bathbubbles We tested out the Le Couvent des Minimes foaming bath by chance; we found it in the drug store and thought based on it's expensive price tag it had to be amazing! We were not disspointed! You only need a little bit for a full bathtub and the scent is divine! It has a strong but natural scent and it produces an incredible amount of bubbles for a full bathtub. So, even though the pricetag is around the $35 mark, it's worth it to pay for quality products that you can use for a long time. Apprarently these products come from a Convent in France en Provence, that now operates as a hotel spa, which has been certified by Relais and Chateau ( a big fancy group that tells you if your hotel is fancy enough to get into their club - it's very exclusive; only 2 hotels in Canada are in the club).

Do Expensive Jeans Really Make Your Butt Look Better?
June 21, 2010 at 10:12 am 0
Recently we tested out jeans to see if the most expensive option really is the most flattering. Exhbit A: Gap Jeans, approx $90
gap jeans
Exhibit B: Banana Republic Jeans, approx $145
banana republic jeans
Exhibit C: Seven For All Mankind, approx $235
Seven Jeans
Are the most expensive pair the most flattering? They do make the legs look thinner so overall they are the crowd favourite, but the Gap jeans make the buns look pretty good too. Whatd'ya think? Do expensive jeans really make your butt look better?
Would You Pay $25,000 For a Mattress?

three little monkeys laying on the $25,000 mattress

This past weekend I went with my brother and fiancé to a historical part of the city to walk on the cobblestone streets, sip some gourmet locally roasted coffee, peruse the art in the galleries, and sample some Toronto micro brewed beer. Just as we stepped out of the car I happened upon a mattress store. It seemed a tad out of place to be in this area, but since we're in the market for a new mattress we decided to step in. And step into another world we did indeed! At the Hasten's store(Swedish for extremely expensive...I think) we decided to try out the mattresses. They were divine! If a pea were under that bed you would never notice. You could probably have a pea farm under your bed and not notice! We were all having a lovely time on the bed and my fiancé was ready to buy one. I said "honey, these are not your average mattresses, these are $25,000!" He brushed it off and said "Well, if one at a different store is $1,000 I think it's worth it, this feels amazing!" I pulled him aside and gently said "No, not $2,500, I mean $25,000, kind of like you're sleeping in a car". He raised his eyebrows and said "ohhh". That's right, it's $25,000 for this fancy schmancy horse hair mattress. I can't imagine paying that much, even if it's the official mattress of the Swedish royal family. Would you pay $25,000 for a mattress?
iphone 3G Update
November 20, 2009 at 12:25 pm 0

Back in June I bought an iphone 3G. I was so excited. I was going to be super technological. One of those people in "the gadget club" who has all the latest and greatest tools and knows about killer apps and upgrades. It turns out I'm not one of those. I'm just a regular phone user. I use my iphone for - making calls - text messaging - taking pictures - booking schedules - checking the weather I'm just a basic phone user. I've only ever downloaded two applications to my phone. And they were for my fiancé. I guess I didn't need a $500 phone for that!
